DWP
Music Services offers hands-on studio
training for individuals who want to
learn the fundamentals of recording and
music production. Our training
sessions take an in-depth look at Logic
Pro, one of the most popular computer
recording and audio editing programs in
the music industry. Understanding this
program will help you to relate to ANY
of the other computer programs on the
market such as Pro Tools, Sonar, Cubase,
Nuendo, Acid, and others. You will
also gain a better understanding of the
concepts presented in "stand-alone"
digital workstations made by Akai, Korg,
and Roland.
Training sessions are one-on-one, which
is by far the best way to learn. You can
ask as many questions as you want
without the embarrassment of sounding
"dumb" to some "over qualified" student
in a regular classroom setting. We can
work with anyone, from students who
don't know how to use a computer to
those that know how to build them. Our
goal is to figure out where you are
right now and to set you on a lesson
plan that will take you where you want
to be.
The Instructor
Our
training sessions are taught by veteran
recording engineer and music producer,
Walt E. Nelson. Walt holds a music
degree from Wayne State University
School of Music and has worked in the
recording industry for over 18 years. He
has thousands of hours of studio
experience, and has mixing and mastering
credits on numerous album releases.
Walt (pictured right), has
mentored and trained students of all
ages through the DWP Studio Internship
program.
